Briefing
This travel starts from France. Please go to France section if you haven't.
After taking a local train from Annecy, we changed to TGV service to Milano at Chambery.
Day6. Milan to Venice
At Milano station, we had a passport check on the platform when we arrived. Then, we changed to the Inter-City service to Venice.
After 3 hours of train ride with a bit of delay, we crossed a bridge to Venice island and finally arrived at Venezia St.Lucia station.
Just in front of the station, we saw the canal. It was so beautiful.
Taking a coach service from the bus station, we finally arrived at Plus Alba D'Oro Camping Site where we stayed in Venice.
Day7. Venice City Tour
Venice is the small island on east coast of Italy.
You will see lots of canal and Gondola around the city.
Although it was very cold in early morning, it became so hot with sunshine.
Seaside was much hotter.
We enjoyed Gelato, the Italian ice cream.
Don't forget that you can also enjoy eating and shopping in Venice.
Day8. Venice to Florence
After final walking around Venice, we took Intercity train down to Florence.
Firenze Santa Maria Novella is the central station in Florence.
Taking a bus from the station, we arrived at Plus Camping Michelangelo.
Camping site is located on the hill, and we had a view the city of Florence.
Day9. Florence
Walking down the hill from the camping site, we first went to Basilica di Santa Croce.
Then we walked around the city. This is Statute of General Manfredo Fanti at Piazza San Marco
Near the rail station, we found San Lorenzo Market.
Beside the San Lorenzo Market, there is also a food market called Central Market.
We had a lunch inside, and it was really delicious.

This is Ponte Vecchio, the famous bridge of Florence.
Day10. Pisa Day Trip
We took an Intercity train service to Pisa.
It's the city with the famous UNESCO World Heritage site. Piazza del Duomo has the Leaning Tower, the Baptistery and the Camposanto.
It began raining while we were waiting for our turn to climb. But it was still worth to climb, and we could have the view of Pisa.
Day11. Florence to Rome
Taking an Intercity train, we arrived at Roma Termini station.
We stayed at Enjoy Hostel, and we found a very nice Gelato shop near the hostel.
Day12. Vatican
Vatican City is so called the smallest country in the world.
We then went to Vatican Museums.
Some of them were even amazing to me.
We got very tired of seeing at the end.
Day13. Rome Monuments
Colosseum is one of the greatest works of Roman architecture and it is one of the most famous monuments in Rome.
If you purchase a combination ticket at Palatine Hill, you can skip the long queue at Colosseum.
There are many other things to see around Colosseum, and it was like we were walking in an ancient world.
Day14. Rest of Rome
Pantheon is the ancient temple with its intact building since it is rebuilt on 1st century.
We also went to a coffee shop next door. It was very crowded.
We then went to the famous fountain of Rome, Trevi Fountain.
Barcaccia Fountain is located in front of the Spanish Steps.
Did you know that you can find many water fountains for drinking around the city? That's free!
Taking SNCF Night Train back to Paris. Compare to other trains, it was really nice and clean!
I didn't know that it was the first class cabin when I bought a ticket. Cabin shared with 4 people.
Day15. Paris and Going Home
Unlike other route, I could especially relax because the arrival time was just before noon. Buffet coach was quite crowded in the morning.
In Paris, I went to see Statue of Liberty. It was so small compare to the one in New York.
I also went to La Defense to look for Carrefour before I flew back, but I only found the Grande Arche.
