Day1. Briefing
[23:30] Depart London. If you think the train fare is expensive, why don't you take a coach? National Express is no longer charging you the booking fee for its E-ticket, so book in advance to avoid the hassles at the coach station. I took an over night coach service from Victoria coach station.
Day2. St Austell and Fowey
[07:15] Arrive at St Austell Rail Station.
St Austell is a nice town in the mountain.
They also have a famous local brewery.
You can take a bus to Eden Project from St Austell Rail Station. The combined discount ticket for the bus and entry is available on the bus.
Eden Project is a huge garden.
Inside the dome is the amazing tropical jungle.
They also had a skate rink.
Back to St Austell station, I took a bus to Fowey.
Fowey is a nice little town beside the Fowey River.
Polruan is a town you can see from the harbor, and boat services are available to cross the river.
Golant is a area where you can find lots of large farms.
YHA Golant Youth Hostel is located in the middle of the farms. The view from its dinning room is fantastic.
Day3. St Ives
Back to St Austell, I took a South West Train service to St Erth, and changed to St Ives Bay Line.
You can enjoy the nice view during your ride on the St Ives Bay Line.
This is the St Ives station.
St Ives is a nice little town with a taste of art.
This is St Ives Backpackers hostel, located in the city center.
After the check in, I went out to a pub in front of the hostel and had a nice lunch. This fried mushroom was the best dish I ever had!
The harbor became beach in the afternoon.
There is a chapel on the top of the hill behind the city.
On Wharf Road, the street facing the harbor, you can find many restaurants.
Sloop Craft Market is where many artists create and sell their crafts.
Sloop Inn is a pub where I had a dinner.
In a pub with very unusual look, I had a dish of mussels.
Day4. Penzance and West
I walked along the harbor in the morning. The water level was higher and made it different view.
Along the harbor, I found a nice cafe.
This is the breakfast I ordered. The coffee was also nice and delicious.
I took a bus to Penzance.
Penzance is the major city of western Cornwall.
I dropped off my luggage at YMCA where I stayed this night.
From the bus station, I took a bus to Porthcurno.
The road was very narrow for such a large bus and it was quite scary.
This is Porthcurno Telegraph Museum.
Instead of going to the museum, I walked straight to the beach. It was small but nice and clean!
I found a path and stairs beside the beach, so I climbed up.
On the top of the path, I found the entrance of Minack Theatre.
Minack Theatre is the theater built on the cliff, which is still in use.
The view from its cafe was also nice.
Back to Penzance, I went to a pub called Pirate Inn.
The food was really delicious, and I even forgot to take a photo of main dish... Oh oh.
Day5. Penzance and East
Next morning, I walked along the beach to the town called Marazion.
On the way, I saw so many rabbits. See...
This town is very famous for St Michaels Mount, the island with castle just like Mont Saint-Michel in France.
I had a lunch in the pub located in the town center of Marazion.
Unlike other pubs, it was very friendly atmosphere.
They were offering a special Sunday roast.
Back to Penzance, I was walking around the city until evening.
[20:30] Depart Penzance. I took an over night coach back to London.
Day6. Back to London
[07:00] Arrive at London Heathrow Airport.
